Dual-lens or articulating endoscope?

A camera on the end of a cable only sees straight ahead. There are two ways around that: add a second camera that looks to the side, or make the tip bend. Reach Duo does the first, Reach 360 the second — here's when each one is the better choice.

Choose Reach Duo if…

  • Your iPhone has a Lightning port. Its 2-in-1 plug fits every iPhone, old and new.
  • You're looking inside pipes and tubes. The side camera reads the pipe wall — a crack, a blockage, corrosion — without bending the cable. Press a button to switch between the front and side view.
  • You want quick looks where the semi-rigid cable can be bent by hand and left in shape.

Choose Reach 360 if…

  • You need to look around a corner, not just to the side — up a wall cavity, behind a pipe, back toward the hole you came in through.
  • You work on engines. Through the spark plug hole you can steer the tip across the cylinder instead of seeing one fixed angle.
  • You want to steer with one hand. The phone clips onto the handle and the wheel bends the tip while you watch.

When you need neither

If you don't know where the problem is yet, start from the outside. A thermal camera for your phone shows where a wall is wetter, colder or hotter than it should be — then the scope goes into exactly that spot, through one small hole.
